HOLYOKE, MA — Holyoke police arrested a man early Wednesday after locating a stolen vehicle in the city.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Officer Nathan Cote received information about a stolen motor vehicle in the Cabot Street area.
Officer Luis Rivera observed the vehicle on Lyman Street and officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Walnut Street and Dwight Street.
The driver was identified as Johansen Silva, 29, of Holyoke.
Silva was placed under arrest and the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
Officers recovered more than $1,100 and a large amount of marijuana during the arrest.
Silva is charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license.
