Driver arrested on stolen vehicle charge in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — A man was arrested after police observed him driving a stolen vehicle on Dec. 4.

Officers spotted the stolen vehicle parked in a lot on the Southwest Cutoff at approximately 9:40 a.m.

An officer confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen and followed the male operator once he began driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Hamilton Street.

The driver and two passengers were ordered to exit the vehicle.

The driver, Alexis Cotto, 24, of Worcester, was also found to have a suspended license.

Cotto was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

The two passengers were released from the scene.
