Woman wanted on hindering charge in Phillipsburg

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ — Police are seeking a woman who failed to appear in court after allegedly providing false information to officers during a January 2024 incident.

Jimi G. Duckworth, 34, of an unknown address, is wanted on a bench warrant issued April 25, 2024, by Phillipsburg Municipal Court.

Police made contact with Duckworth on Jan. 23, 2024, while investigating a dispute call.

Duckworth provided officers with identification information that was not her own, according to police.

The name Duckworth provided had an active warrant, and she was placed under arrest.

Police said Duckworth then provided her accurate information, and officers discovered she was wanted on an outstanding burglary charge.

She was charged with hindering apprehension by providing false information.

Duckworth was released from jail but failed to appear at Phillipsburg Municipal Court, resulting in the bench warrant.

She is also wanted by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office and Northampton County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.

Duckworth is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
