NEW LONDON, CT — A 38-year-old man died following an incident outside a parking garage Monday afternoon.
Thomas Fino, of New London, was found unresponsive on the Atlantic Street side of the Water Street parking garage at approximately 4:26 p.m. Dec. 1.
Officers responded to the scene and discovered Fino in critical condition.
He was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Next of kin have been notified.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death remains active and ongoing.
Preliminary findings indicate the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and no threat to public safety exists at this time, according to the New London Police Department.
