WARREN, VT — A local man faces charges after state police say they found a firearm component at his home during a search warrant execution.

George Morris, 33, of Warren, was issued a criminal citation for violation of conditions of release on Dec. 1.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton and Berlin barracks executed a search warrant at a residence on Robinson Road on Oct. 15 at approximately 5:07 p.m.

The search warrant was related to a reckless endangerment charge against Morris stemming from an incident that occurred on Aug. 11 at the same residence.

During the search, troopers located a lower receiver of a firearm.

Morris was under court-ordered conditions of release that prohibited him from possessing firearms.

Morris was ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court Washington Criminal Division on Dec. 18 at 8:30 a.m.
