Vandalism reported at two Southbury parks

SOUTHBURY, CT — Police are investigating extensive vandalism at two town parks that occurred over a four-day period last month.

The pavilion at Ballantine Park and the kitchen area at Settlers Park were heavily damaged between Nov. 26 and Nov. 30, according to the Southbury Police Department.

Restrooms were demolished and cabinetry was broken during the incident.

Fire extinguishers were deployed inside one of the buildings.

Parks and recreation equipment was also stolen, police said.
