PLATTSBURGH, NY — A traffic stop for an inoperative headlight led to the arrest of a woman wanted on warrants from South Carolina.
Katherine A. Williams, 25, of Dannemora, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. on Nov. 23 after deputies with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop.
During the investigation, deputies learned Williams had three warrants from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina.
The warrants were issued for alleged violations of South Carolina Code Section 16-17-490, contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Williams was arraigned at the Town of Plattsburgh Court and remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility pending extradition proceedings in Clinton County Court.
