SPRINGFIELD, VT — A Bellows Falls woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after her vehicle slid off Interstate 91 on Nov. 30.
Heather M. Longe, 43, of Bellows Falls, was taken into custody at approximately 4:47 p.m. following a roadside investigation.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks were responding to multiple vehicles that had slid off the roadway between Exits 6 and 8 on Interstate 91 northbound when they came across Longe’s vehicle in a ditch near mile marker 40.2.
Upon making contact with Longe, troopers observed indicators of impairment.
Longe was transported to Bellows Falls Police Department for processing and was later released with a citation.
She is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor County Criminal Division, on Dec. 23 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI.
The vehicle did not sustain damage upon sliding off the roadway.
