WEATHERSFIELD, VT — A Massachusetts man was arrested on a drug-related DUI charge after a trooper found his vehicle disabled in an embankment on Interstate 91.
Thomas Kenneally, 35, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was taken into custody at approximately 4:13 p.m. Nov. 30.
A trooper with Vermont State Police, Westminster Barracks, observed the disabled vehicle in an embankment on Interstate 91 northbound at mile marker 51.1 in Weathersfield, Windsor County.
While speaking with Kenneally, the trooper detected signs of impairment.
Investigation revealed that Kenneally had operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
Kenneally was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division on Jan. 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI drugs.
