RED HOOK, NY — A Tivoli man escaped injury after his pickup truck struck a telephone pole and overturned Wednesday morning.
Red Hook Police were dispatched at 12:50 p.m. for a report of a truck versus telephone pole with a rollover on Route 9G near Peach Tree Court.
Police determined a 2022 GMC dual-wheeled pickup truck was traveling northbound on Route 9G when the driver swerved to avoid striking an animal.
The vehicle went off the roadway, struck a telephone pole and overturned.
The driver, a 49-year-old man from Tivoli, was not injured in the crash.
Red Hook Police were assisted on scene by the Tivoli Fire Department, Empress EMS, New York State Police and Central Hudson.
