BOSTON, MA — A 36-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly threatening multiple people with a knife in East Boston.
Officers assigned to District A-7 responded to the area of 131 Orleans Street at about 7:23 p.m. for a report of a person with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and recovered a knife from inside his right jean pocket.
Two victims told officers that as they were walking their dog down the street, the suspect approached them and scraped a knife on the sidewalk.
Both victims fled the area, but the suspect continued to follow them.
Officers were then advised of another victim who stated that the suspect swung the knife and attempted to stab him.
No injuries were reported from either incident.
Deigo Bautista-Perez, 36, of East Boston, was placed under arrest.
He is expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of disorderly conduct.
