NEWARK, NJ — The Essex County Crime Stoppers Program has increased its reward to up to $20,000 for information leading to an arrest in a fatal shooting that left three people dead and two others injured.
Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Essex County Sheriff Amir Jones announced the increased reward on Friday.
The shooting occurred on the 300 block of Chancellor Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. on Nov. 15.
Jordan Rivera, 10, and Kiyah Mae Scott, 21, of Newark, were pronounced dead at University Hospital that evening.
Masi Rogers, 19, of Newark, succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 20.
Two additional victims were injured in the incident.
An 11-year-old boy, the brother of Jordan Rivera, remains hospitalized.
His name is not being released.
Sheppard Miller, 60, of Newark, was also injured in the shooting.
