PENDLETON, NY — An 18-year-old Buffalo man faces felony charges after two vehicles were reported stolen from a residential area.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 25 reporting an unknown male trying to get into cars on Creekbend Drive.
Deputies then received additional reports of vehicle thefts on nearby Edgewater Circle.
An investigation revealed two vehicles were stolen from two homes on Edgewater Circle.
New York State Police T-Troop located one of the stolen vehicles, a 2015 BMW, on Interstate 90 in the town of Cheektowaga and took the operator into custody.
Roberto R. Leon III, 18, of Buffalo, was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony; second-degree criminal mischief, a felony; and unlicensed operation, a violation.
He was remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility awaiting centralized arraignment.
