ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — A New Hampshire teenager was injured after crashing into a parked vehicle on Vermont Route 2b early Saturday morning.
Dalton Avery, 18, of Monroe, New Hampshire, was traveling east on Vermont Route 2b near Johnson Road at 2 a.m. when his vehicle failed to navigate a corner, according to Vermont State Police.
Avery’s 2012 Buick LaCrosse struck a parked 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander owned by Amy Greaves, 35, of St. Johnsbury, police said.
The Buick came to rest in a driveway after the collision.
Avery sustained minor injuries and was transported by Calex ambulance to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment.
Greaves was not injured in the crash.
Road conditions were icy at the time of the crash, though weather was clear, police said.
Both vehicles sustained substantial damage.
Vermont State Police were assisted at the scene by St. Johnsbury Police Department, St. Johnsbury Fire Department and Calex ambulance.
