CONCORD, MA — Police have arrested a local man following a lengthy investigation into signs placed around town directed at a school superintendent.
John Grace, 56, of Concord, was arrested at his North Branch Road home Tuesday and charged with violation of a harassment prevention order.
On Sept. 22, Concord Police responded to the area of Monument Square for a report of a sign directed toward the Superintendent of the Concord and Concord-Carlisle Regional school districts.
Over the next several weeks, Concord Police responded to and investigated multiple reports of signs that were placed around town directed at the superintendent.
Through its investigation, Concord Police, in partnership with the Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, identified the suspect as Grace.
In May, the superintendent had filed for and was granted a harassment protection order against Grace.
As a result of the investigation, Concord Police sought and were granted an arrest warrant, which was executed Tuesday at approximately 9:53 a.m.
Grace was arrested without incident.
Grace was arraigned in Concord District Court on Tuesday.
