VIRGIL, NY — State Police arrested a man on multiple charges following a domestic dispute Nov. 22.
Mark E. Young, 34, of Virgil, was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, criminal contempt in the second degree, criminal contempt in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
State Police responded to a residence on Route 11 at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute.
An investigation determined that Young and the victim got into a verbal argument where Young tried to take the victim’s phone to stop them from calling for help.
During the investigation, it was determined that Young made physical contact with the victim during the argument.
Young was taken to State Police Homer for processing and transported to Cortland County Jail awaiting CAP court.
