Armed robbery reported at CVS in Whitman

WHITMAN, MA — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a CVS pharmacy Sunday night.

At approximately 7:05 p.m., Whitman Police responded to the CVS at 351 Bedford St. for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a store clerk who reported that a man and woman entered the store, and the woman began taking several items and putting them into a bag she had walked in with.

When confronted by a store employee, the man brandished what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun from his sweatshirt pocket.

The employee then ran into an office and called 911.

The male and female suspects fled the store toward a nearby McDonald’s.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

No injuries were reported.

Whitman Police are actively working to identify the suspects.
