WATERBURY, CT — Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Auto Theft Task Force, and the DEA New Haven District Office executed multiple search and seizure warrants on Nov. 20.
The warrants included one at 98 Charles Street, a bodega; a warrant for the person of Gerardo Guzman, 36, of Waterbury; and a warrant for a black BMW.
During the investigation, police seized ammunition, drug paraphernalia, 76.17 grams of fentanyl and 110.52 grams of crack cocaine.
Guzman was arrested and charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of ½ oz. or more of cocaine and criminal possession of firearm/ammunition.
Guzman is a convicted felon and is prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm or ammunition.
