Four arrested in Macedon powersports burglary

MACEDON, NY — Four people have been arrested following a grand jury indictment in connection with a 2023 burglary at Filers Powersports that resulted in the theft of nine dirt bikes valued at more than $50,000.

The Macedon Police Department responded to a report of a burglary that had already occurred at the business in 2023.

Officers found significant damage to the building and searched the premises but did not locate anyone inside.

Investigators determined nine dirt bikes were stolen and machines inside the business were damaged.

Officers located blood evidence at the scene.

The burglary was described as a “smash and grab” operation in which suspects used a truck to drive into the side of the building, breaching the door before stealing the dirt bikes.

One suspect was previously arrested in March.

A grand jury indicted four individuals on Nov. 17, who were subsequently arrested and arraigned in Wayne County Court.

Devon Robinson, 32, of Rochester, was remanded on bail.

Jahsin Robinson, 21, of Rochester, was remanded on bail.

Genesis Cowley, 25, of Rochester, was released on recognizance.

Bruce Frazier, 25, of Rochester, was released on recognizance.

Each defendant was charged with grand larceny in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree.

Additional arrests are pending.

The Macedon Police Department was assisted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Irondequoit Police Department, Gates Police Department, Monroe County Probation and Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
