CORINTH, VT — A woman was arrested Friday evening in Corinth on fugitive from justice and in-state warrant charges after Vermont State Police responded to a residence for an unrelated call.
Troopers identified the woman as Shannon Cota, 38, of Corinth.
While at the scene, police learned that Cota had an active Vermont warrant for felony unlawful mischief as well as an extraditable warrant from New Hampshire for possession of methamphetamine.
Cota was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.
She was then transported to Northeast Correctional Complex after failing to post $50,000 bail set for the New Hampshire warrant, in addition to $1,000 bail for the Vermont warrant.
