BOSTON, MA — Three juvenile females were arrested Thursday night after an attempted carjacking in the Dorchester neighborhood, according to Boston police.
Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a report of a carjacking at approximately 9:51 p.m. in the area of Westville Street.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim reported a group of individuals tried to steal his moped.
The victim said the three female suspects grabbed his moped, but he was able to fight them off.
The suspects fled the area as officers arrived.
Officers broadcast a description of the suspects to other responding units.
Police searched the area and observed the suspects attempting to jump a fence behind a nearby residence on Westville Street.
After unsuccessful attempts to climb over, the suspects forcefully pushed through the fence and broke the door.
Officers placed the three suspects, later identified as juvenile females ages 13, 16, and 17, under arrest.
They are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of delinquent to wit; carjacking, malicious destruction of property over $1,200, and trespass.
