Burglary suspects arrested in Franklin Township

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after police responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on Delsea Drive in Franklin Township.

According to the Franklin Township Police Department, officers received a call at 12:15 p.m. from a concerned citizen reporting a suspicious vehicle at a residence on the 100 block of Delsea Drive in the Malaga section of Franklin Township.

When officers arrived, they located an open side door and observed two individuals inside the residence.

Police issued verbal commands for the men to exit, and both complied before being taken into custody without incident.

The suspects were identified as Justin Rivera, 21, of Woodbury, and Nicholas Maniscalco Jr., 22, of Runnemede.

Both were transported to Franklin Township Police Headquarters and processed on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.

Police said both men were released on their own recognizance pending a Superior Court appearance.
Officer David Polistina led the investigation.

Authorities said the charges are accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
