COLCHESTER, VT — A Champlain, N.Y., man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 northbound at mile marker 94.1 in Colchester late Nov. 20.
Vermont State Police said troopers were notified of the crash at approximately 10:13 p.m.
Troopers identified the operator of the vehicle as Jeremy Deso, 41, of Champlain, N.Y.
While speaking with Deso at the scene, troopers observed indicators of impairment.
Troopers conducted field sobriety exercises, after which Deso was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Deso was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing, then taken to the Northwest Correctional Facility for detox.
Deso was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Dec. 11 at 8:30 a.m.
