HORNELLSVILLE, NY — The New York State Police in Hornell responded to Seneca Road in the town of Hornellsville on Nov. 2 for a report of a male allegedly seen intentionally injuring a cat.
Through investigation, Troopers identified the suspect as Deshawn T. Miller, 28, of Hornell.
On Nov. 6, Miller was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Hornellsville Town Court on Dec. 10.
The injured cat, now named “Mister,” was treated at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals and is expected to make a full recovery.
