Kristjan V. Holmbo, 19, of Cold Spring, is accused of unlawfully entering Haldane School on Nov. 4 and taking prescription medications from the nurse’s office.

According to investigators, the School Resource Officer and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office officials identified Holmbo as a suspect following an investigation.

On Nov. 13, investigators executed a search warrant at Holmbo’s residence and took him into custody.

For the incident at Haldane School, Holmbo faces charges of burglary in the third degree (class D felony), petit larceny (class A misdemeanor), criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree (class A misdemeanor), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (class A misdemeanor), and tampering with physical evidence (class E felony).

In that incident, Holmbo allegedly tried unsuccessfully to enter the building.

For the pharmacy case, Holmbo was charged with attempted burglary in the third degree (class E felony) and criminal mischief in the third degree (class D felony).
