GALWAY, NY — A Ballston Spa man faces felony charges after allegedly intentionally steering his vehicle into oncoming traffic Sunday morning.
William Casertino-Collins, 22, of Ballston Spa, was arrested on two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, both class D felonies.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a property damage motor vehicle crash at 11 a.m. on Jockey Street in the town of Galway.
Casertino-Collins is accused of recklessly engaging in conduct that created a grave risk of death to two other persons under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life.
He allegedly intentionally steered his vehicle into oncoming traffic, resulting in a crash with another vehicle.
Casertino-Collins was transported to Saratoga Hospital for evaluation and treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
The operator of the other vehicle was treated and released on scene and the passenger was not injured.
He was arraigned before the Honorable Alison Thomas-Oravsky in the Galway Town Court and released to pretrial services.
