Woman arrested on weapons charges in Utica

UTICA, NY — A woman faces multiple weapons charges following a search warrant execution on Lynch Avenue.

Investigators with the GIVE Unit, assisted by investigators with the Special Operations Unit, officers with the Crime Prevention Unit and members of METRO SWAT executed a search warrant at 113 Lynch Ave on Nov. 18 related to the possession and attempted distribution of firearms.

Four weapons were located during the search, according to the Utica Police Department.

The weapons secured were a Ruger P90DC .45 caliber, an Iver Johnson Revolver .32 auto, a ghost gun 9mm and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun.

Police noted that two of the pictured guns are BB guns.

Andrea Stratton, 37, of Utica, was arrested at the scene.

Stratton was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree for high capacity magazines, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree for prior conviction and criminal possession of a firearm.
