ELLENVILLE, NY — New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested a Kingston man on multiple child endangerment charges on Nov. 13.
Joseph J. Guzman, 30, of Kingston, is charged with disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree, a class D felony, aggravated harassment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
Following an investigation that began in October 2023, investigators uncovered that Guzman initiated an inappropriate conversation with an 11-year-old female victim through an app.
The investigation further revealed that Guzman disseminated unwanted indecent material of himself and another individual to the victim and engaged in harassing conduct that caused the victim undue stress.
Guzman was arrested and processed at the State Police Ellenville barracks without incident.
He was then transported to the Ulster County Court Centralized Arraignment Part, where he was released on his own recognizance.
Guzman is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wawarsing Court on Nov. 14 at 9 a.m.
