MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA, MA — A person was struck and killed by a train late Sunday night, according to the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department.
Police were called to the train tracks between Summer Street and Magnolia Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person struck by a train.
Officers arrived and confirmed that a person had been struck.
The individual, an adult male, suffered fatal injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by MBTA Transit Police, with assistance from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
