KINGSBURY, NY — A Hudson Falls man faces felony rape charges following an investigation into allegations involving a child.
Shannon J. Piper, 46, of Hudson Falls, was arrested Nov. 13 after an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, investigators determined Piper engaged in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 17 on multiple occasions in August in the Town of Kingsbury.
Piper was charged with two counts of rape in the third degree, both Class E felonies, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all Class A misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in Kingsbury Town Court and held in lieu of bail pending further court proceedings.
The case was handled by Investigator M. Ashton and Deputy C. Albanese, with assistance from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
