PLAINVILLE, MA — Police seized a firearm and narcotics after executing a search warrant at a residence following a disturbance report Saturday morning.
Officers responded to 36 Berry Street at approximately 8:15 a.m. for a report of a disturbance, according to Chief James Floyd.
Witnesses reported that a male individual, believed to be under the influence of narcotics, made several threatening statements while brandishing a firearm.
Officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant as part of the investigation.
Police executed the court-authorized search warrant at the residence a short time later.
During the search, investigators recovered one .40 caliber Sig Sauer handgun with ammunition, approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 8 grams of ketamine.
The case remains an active investigation by the Plainville Police Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
