WARWICK, RI — State Police arrested two men following a disturbance at the Kent County Courthouse on Monday morning.
Kurt Cesar, 23, of Providence, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. for disorderly conduct.
Troopers assisted Capitol Police with the disturbance at the courthouse.
Cesar was held at Third District Court pending afternoon arraignment.
At the same time, Elias Espinosa, 22, of Cranston, was arrested for assault on a police officer and other officials, simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct.
Espinosa was also held at Third District Court pending afternoon arraignment.
In a separate incident at 11:51 p.m., Joseph Gomez, 23, of Cranston, was arrested on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.
The original charge was driving with an expired license from the Cranston Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in Warwick.
Gomez was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future Third Division Court date.
