Single-vehicle crash leads to DUI arrest in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 14 near Elm Street at 12:51 a.m. on Nov. 15.

Zack Dion, 27, of Barre, was driving south when his 2023 Kia Sorento struck a guardrail.

The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage.

Dion was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Further investigation determined Dion was under the influence of intoxicants.

Dion was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and processed at the Berlin Barracks.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Orange Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date.

Road conditions were wet and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
