SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA — A Hyannis man was arrested on a drug charge following a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.
Yarmouth Police Proactive Anti-Crime Unit officers observed a vehicle known to be involved in frequent drug activity shortly before 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
The vehicle rapidly accelerated and exceeded the posted 30 mph speed limit, police said.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and found the driver in possession of 7.5 grams of crack cocaine, according to police.
Clyde Perry Jr., 29, of Hyannis, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs.
He was arraigned the following day in Barnstable District Court.
