ULSTER, NY — A New Paltz man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly threatening someone with a firearm during a dispute.
James A. Miner, 69, of New Paltz, was arrested at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 9.
Police responded to the Daily Freeman Office at 796 Ulster Avenue at approximately 12:12 a.m. for a report of a dispute involving a firearm.
Officers determined that during the dispute, Miner retrieved a firearm from his vehicle after threatening someone, according to the Ulster Police Department.
Miner was charged with menacing in the third degree.
He was transported to Ulster Police Headquarters for processing and released on an appearance ticket.
Miner is scheduled to appear in Town of Ulster Court at a later date.
