Man arrested on felony charge in Corinth

CORINTH, NY — A Saratoga Springs man was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated family offense and criminal contempt, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Jasay L. Boone, 50, of Saratoga Springs, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued by Corinth Town Court.

Boone is accused of committing a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.

He is also charged with violating an order of protection by both communicating with and being in the presence of the protected person.

Both offenses allegedly occurred Nov. 6 in the town of Corinth.

The aggravated family offense charge is a class E felony, and the criminal contempt charge is a class A misdemeanor.

Boone was arraigned before the Honorable Michael T. Woodcock in Corinth Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
