ALBANY, NY — Police are investigating an arrest captured on video that has been circulating on social media.
The incident occurred Tuesday in the area of Washington Avenue and Lark Street.
Officers were responding to a report of a fight when they encountered a woman.
Police said the woman resisted attempts to detain her and failed to comply with commands.
The woman bit an officer in the leg during the encounter, according to police.
She was taken into custody and charged with second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment.
The Albany Police Department said it is conducting a comprehensive review of the circumstances surrounding the call for service.
