WESTFORD, MA — Two men were found guilty of carrying a loaded firearm without a license following a bench trial Monday at Ayer District Court.
William McCarthy, 22, of Fall River, and Anthony Salazar, 21, of Westford, were arrested in connection with a disturbance investigation on Tech Valley Drive on Feb. 24, 2024.
Westford Police officers seized two unlicensed firearms during the incident.
Both defendants were charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license and other criminal offenses.
Judge Mehta found both men guilty of the firearms offense and other criminal charges.
Each was sentenced to 18 months in the House of Corrections, followed by one year of probation.
