UTICA, NY — A man was arrested on drug charges during an organized retail theft detail on Nov. 5.
Members of the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Troop D Community Stabilization Unit observed a suspected drug transaction and initiated a traffic stop.
During the investigation, troopers located approximately one-half ounce each of crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and cocaine, all individually packaged for sale.
Jonahtan L. Franklin, 27, of Utica, was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
Franklin was arraigned in Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court, where he was remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash, $100,000 bond, and $200,000 partially secured bond.
The New York State Police were assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Utica Police Department.
