CORINTH, NY — A 23-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on multiple animal cruelty charges after authorities responded to a complaint on Pine Street.

Almeda R. Arnold, of Corinth, faces five counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide sustenance, all class A misdemeanors.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the animal complaint at 9:30 a.m.

Arnold is accused of keeping two dogs, two rabbits and a cat in unsanitary conditions without adequate food or water and unattended for extended durations.

The animals were seized by virtue of a court order and transferred to the custody of the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.
