Man arrested on drug, weapons charges in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury man faces multiple drug and weapons charges following an alarm complaint early Sunday morning.

Officers from the Waterbury Police Department responded to 370 West Main Street at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Nov. 9 for an alarm complaint involving a Ram ProMaster that had activated an emergency alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed an individual in the rear parking lot wearing all-black clothing and a mask.

The individual was identified as Ambrose Easter, 36, of Waterbury.

During the investigation, Easter became agitated with officers and refused to comply with commands, police said.

Officers seized PCP, fentanyl, crack cocaine and a Smith & Wesson firearm during the investigation.

Easter was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer, possession of hallucinogen, illegal transfer pistol/revolver, criminal possession of pistol/revolver, possession of a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of firearm/ammunition and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
