SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a Bloomfield man Tuesday in connection with an April burglary at a jewelry store where approximately $65,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.
Troy L. Coleman, 59, of Bloomfield, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. on an active warrant.
Coleman and two other suspects broke into Hannoush Jewelers at 340 Buckland Road on April 14.
The suspects smashed a window to gain entry to the business, then smashed jewelry cases and stole rings, watches and necklaces.
Coleman was linked to the incident through DNA evidence left at the scene.
The investigation into the identity of the other two suspects is ongoing.
Coleman was taken into custody by Hartford police and transferred to South Windsor police, where he was processed on a $150,000 surety bond.
He was then transferred to North Haven police, where he was processed on additional warrants.
Coleman is charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the first degree and larceny in the first degree.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
