Woman arrested on DUI charge in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — State Police arrested a Providence woman on a drunken driving charge late Tuesday night.

Nicole Mcleod, 35, of Providence, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of liquor, first offense.

Troopers responded to a disturbance and located the suspect vehicle on Manton Avenue.

Mcleod registered a .253 percent blood alcohol content in the first phase of testing and .267 percent in the second phase.

She was transported to State Police headquarters where she was processed and held overnight as a probation violator.

In other arrests reported by the Lincoln Woods Barracks: At 12:05 p.m., troopers arrested Hattie Henderson, 34, of Edgartown, Massachusetts, for reckless driving and possession of a scheduled I to V controlled substance (amphetamines) less than 10 grams.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Douglas Avenue in Providence.

Henderson was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.

At 9:22 p.m., troopers arrested Tyrell Germain, 18, of Central Falls, for a Family Court juvenile bench warrant for conspiracy-wayward/disobedient.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Broad Street in Central Falls.

Germain was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the ACI Training School.

At 10:45 p.m., troopers arrested Wellington Williams, 43, of Providence, for domestic violence-violation of a protection order, third or subsequent offense, and disorderly conduct.

The arrest resulted from troopers responding to a disturbance and locating the suspect vehicle on Manton Avenue in Providence.

Williams was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator.
