Two Rochester residents arrested on drug charges in Avon

AVON, NY — Two Rochester residents face multiple felony drug charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 390.

Jennifer Liberacki, 42, of Rochester, and Marquis Lee, 36, of Rochester, were arrested Nov. 7 after a deputy conducted a traffic stop at approximately 6:25 p.m.

Deputy Matthew VanCuran of the Sheriff’s Office Highway Patrol Unit initiated the stop after observing violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

VanCuran made contact with the operator, identified as Liberacki, and a passenger, identified as Lee.

The deputy suspected drug activity in the vehicle and conducted a roadside drug investigation.

Liberacki and Lee were found to be in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Both were charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Liberacki was additionally charged with resisting arrest and violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Both were transported to the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention.

They were later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Caledonia Justice Riggi.

The judge released both Liberacki and Lee on their own recognizance due to the offenses not qualifying for bail under the New York State Bail Reform Act.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Liberacki and Lee at the arraignment.

The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
