CANANDAIGUA, NY — A 56-year-old man has been arrested on a charge of making a terroristic threat that led to the cancellation of a holiday event.

Michael J. Keitz, of Ontario County, was arrested Nov. 9 and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat, according to the City of Canandaigua Police Department.

Police allege that on Nov. 7, while in the city, Keitz made a threat toward the Christkindl Dance at the Granger Homestead.

The event was cancelled due to fear of the imminent commission of a domestic terroristic attack, police said.

Keitz is also wanted by the United States Marshals Service on a federal warrant stemming from a bank robbery in Buffalo.

He was processed and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment at CAP Court.

The New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
