AUBURN, NY — Police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic incident that occurred earlier this month.

Officers with the Auburn Police Department responded to the area of Parker Street and Fitch Avenue at approximately 4:17 a.m. on Nov. 3 for a reported domestic incident.

During the investigation, police said Eric Ostrander Jr. had engaged in a verbal argument with a female victim at his residence.

The victim left the residence on foot, and Ostrander followed her, according to police.

Police said Ostrander pushed the victim to the ground and forcibly stole her cell phone from her hand before running away.

Responding officers were unsuccessful in locating Ostrander at that time.

On Nov. 6, officers located Ostrander at his residence and took him into custody.

Ostrander was transported to Auburn Police Department headquarters where he was processed on charges of third-degree robbery, a class D felony; petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor; and second-degree harassment, a violation.

Ostrander was subsequently transported to the Cayuga County Jail to be held pending arraignment.
