Man arrested on relief from abuse order violation in Dorset

DORSET, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 42-year-old man Monday morning after he allegedly violated a temporary relief from abuse order.

Ian Estabrooks, of Dorset, was taken into custody following a report of a relief from abuse order violation at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 10.

Police said Estabrooks contacted a protected party in violation of the temporary order.

The victim, a 40-year-old Dorset resident, was not identified by police.

Estabrooks was processed at the Manchester Police Department.

He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Nov. 12 at 12:30 p.m.
