ARLINGTON, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision at the intersection of Vermont Route 313 West and Warm Brook Road on Nov. 10.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:14 p.m. during rainy weather with wet road conditions.
Glenda Harwood, 78, of Shaftsbury, was traveling south on Warm Brook Road in a 2018 Subaru Forester.
Dwight Hurd, 41, of Petersburg, New York, was traveling east on Vermont Route 313 in a 2014 Subaru Outback.
Police determined Harwood failed to yield to oncoming traffic, resulting in the head-on collision.
Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.
Harwood sustained minor injuries and was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Hurd was not injured.
Both operators were wearing seat belts.
The Vermont State Police-Shaftsbury Barracks was assisted on scene by the Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad and Southern Vermont Auto.
