Man arrested on burglary charge in Cobleskill

COBLESKILL, NY — State Police arrested a man on burglary and larceny charges following an investigation into a break-in at a local business.

Ryan J. Murray, 35, of East Worcester, was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal tampering in the second degree.

Troopers responded to a business in Cobleskill at about 8:23 a.m. Nov. 5 for a report of a past burglary.

The investigation determined Murray allegedly tampered with the power to the building and damaged multiple surveillance cameras before forcibly entering the unoccupied business during the overnight hours.

While inside the business, Murray reportedly damaged additional items and stole cash.

Murray was located and arrested in Troy and transported to State Police barracks in Cobleskill for processing.

He was then transported to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
