FALL RIVER, MA — Police arrested a man and woman on multiple firearm charges after responding to a report of an individual with a gun on Nov. 5.
Officers responded to Maple Gardens and detained Lesly Saintfar, 30, of Fall River.
Police determined a physical altercation had occurred between Sharian Downs, 27, of Fall River, and Lucita Louis, 28, of Fall River, following a verbal argument.
During the incident, Downs deployed pepper spray toward Louis.
Witnesses reported Saintfar pointed a black handgun at a witness during the altercation.
Police confirmed neither Saintfar nor Louis possessed a license to carry a firearm.
CAST detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence shared by Saintfar and Louis.
During the search, officers located two firearms, multiple large-capacity magazines and ammunition.
A young child belonging to Saintfar and Louis was present in the home with unsecured firearms accessible.
Saintfar was charged with possess firearm without FID card (2 counts), possess large capacity firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless endangerment of a child, possess ammunition without FID card, possess large capacity feeding device (2 counts), store improperly large-capacity firearm near minor and store improperly firearm.
Louis was charged with possess firearm without FID card (2 counts), possess large capacity firearm, assault and battery, reckless endangerment of a child, possess ammunition without FID card, possess large capacity feeding device (2 counts), store improperly large-capacity firearm near minor and store improperly firearm.
Downs was summonsed on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
